Born from disrepair

"Beauty can be found everywhere, including the discarded....."

 Homes all over Baltimore are in severe disrepair; some being remodeled, many being torn down.  To see waste on such a grand scale provides unique opportunity, salvaging these materials honors the history of a city while keeping literal tons of debris out of the waste stream.  Over the years you begin to appreciate certain aspects, sizes or species; giving great value to this resource.  Being born and raised in Baltimore, we're honored to be apart of it.

Unhappy With standards

Walking through antique stores you notice furniture of exceptional quality, pieces that have stood the test of time both in function and in form.  These pieces have aged beautifully through decades of use and show little signs of stopping.  This type of construction is seldomly seen today and has been replaced with the cheapest and fasted methods possible.  In order to turn more projects, you cheap out on the details...... Not in this shop.

Designer-Craftsman Jim Klausmeyer has been custom building reclaimed wood furniture for over a decade. After a brief program in electrical work, he was trained as a carpenter working on high-end row home remodels in downtown Baltimore.  This is where he fell in love with the craft and later progressed to build custom furniture.  Working as head-woodworker at a local firm for over 6years, he has produced and over saw production on thousands of pieces of furniture.  This insight helps Jim produce goods of exceptional quality while his open mind helps fulfill the wishes of his clients. 

Fed up with the culture of his previous business, Jim regrouped to start a new shop, bMORE Reclaimed.  Here he can focus on his main priority, building quality goods.
